Musical Director – Simon Warne

After graduating from Colchester Institute, Simon has combined his two interests of singing and working with young musicians. He is now a layclerk at Chelmsford Cathedral and works for Essex Music Services as part of their vocal and choral development team. As well as the Chelmsford Youth Choirs, he also directs chamber choirs in various secondary and primary schools and his work with young people continues throughout the school holidays with the Essex Young Singers and Essex Training Choir. Simon has plenty of experience working with adult singers regularly conducting the Boreham Ladies Choir and presenting workshops for both adult and young singers.

Choir Secretary – Olivia Eastham

Hi, I'm Olivia Eastham and have been involved with Chelmsford Youth Choir since it's first workshop in October 2005 when my son David wanted to join a local choir. I started helping out at rehearsals and chaperoning but soon took over the task of writing the newsletters, etc. When Jill and Eric Withams retired from overseeing the choir at the end of 2006 I was appointed choir secretary and have become more involved with the general running of the choir, keeping membership details up to date, choir registers, etc.
